Air Conditioning
Central air conditioning functions best when the door to the laundry room is kept open to maximize air flow to the air intake unit. Exterior doors and windows are designed to be kept closed to allow AC to function. Keep outside doors and windows closed as much as possible to ensure a cool temperature inside.
The Nest thermostat is located on the central pillar beside the bookshelf. Turn the dial to adjust temperature as needed. It’s best to keep blinds down in bedrooms when sun is coming through the windows to maintain the coolness inside the house. The maximum temperature difference between the outside temperature and the temperature inside the house is 10-12 degrees. The lowest temperature the AC unit can cool to is about 74 degrees F. Because the air conditioner is also reducing the humidity, the house should feel much cooler than the outside air.
