Garbage & Recycling

Large garbage bins are located outside the laundry room door and will be empty at the start of each stay.  Once the garbage bins are full, please take full garbage bags up to the empty bin to the left of the driveway at the roadside. Garbage is collected at the roadside twice weekly. 

There is limited recycling on the island. If you prefer to recycle, there are blue drums outside of Marketplace and Billie’s supermarkets for aluminum can collection. Don’t crush cans before recycling because there is a circular can-sized hole to drop them into. For plastic containers, there is a large wire fish-shaped bin to deposit into across from the Alexander Hotel/ Big Daddy’s liquor store. 
 
Green waste, glass, paper, tins, etc should be disposed with the regular garbage.
